烟青虫对性信息素的感受和编码机制

Mechanism of Sex Pheromone Reception and Encoding in Helicoverpa assulta

摘要: 蛾类昆虫主要依赖于性信息素通讯系统实现两性间的求偶和交配。本文针对雄性烟青虫的性信息素感受系统和编码机制的最新研究进展进行综述。烟青虫雄蛾触角上毛形感器接收性信息素顺-9-十六碳烯醛和顺-11-十六碳烯醛以及种间抑制信号顺-9-十四碳烯醛。3种信号经毛形感器内的嗅觉受体神经元接收后,分别传递到触角叶扩大型纤维球复合体的3个不同纤维球内。来自这3个纤维球内的投射神经元投射到脑内嗅觉高级中枢蕈形体冠和侧角,其中性信息素敏感的投射神经元投射到内侧侧角,而种间抑制信号敏感的投射神经元投射到外侧侧角。所以烟青虫雄虫从外周到中枢均以标定线路型的模式编码性信息素信息,即不同感觉神经元感受不同的信息素成分,这些不同的信息直接被发送到脑内嗅觉中枢不同的区域。

Abstract: Sex pheromone communication plays a major role in the courtship and mating of moths. Here, mechanisms of sex pheromone reception and encoding in male Helicoverpa assulta (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) were reviewed. The antennal triochoid sensilla of male H. assulta receive the stimulations of sex pheromone cis-9-hexadecenal and cis-11-hexadecenal, as well as interspecific signal cis-9-tetradecenal. The three signals are detected by olfactory receptor neurons housing in the triochoid sensilla and transmitted to 3 distinct units of the macroglomerular complex. The associated projection neurons of the glomerulus of macroglomerular complex project the signals to higher olfactory centers, the mushroom body calyx and the lateral horn. Within the lateral horn, the pheromone sensitive projection neurons target the medial part, while the interspecific signal sensitive projection neurons target the lateral part. In this way, the sex pheromones in H. assulta are encoded in the mode of labeled-line at both the periphery and central levels, with different sex pheromone constituents being detected by corresponding sensory neurons and these different signals being transmitted directly to corresponding areas in the olfactory centers of brain.
